Brooklyn PTA Fun Run for Schools – October 22, 2022

October 22, 2022 (Saturday) – Brooklyn PTA Fun Run for Schools 2022 in Prospect Park!

The Fun Run will be a 3.3 mile loop, starting and finishing on the main park drive just outside the LeFrak Center. The run will start at 10 AM. Bib distribution and pre-race activities will begin inside the LeFrak Center starting at 9 AM. Net proceeds from your registration fee will go to our neediest schools.

PTA Meeting and SLT Election, Sept. 28, 6:30 pm on Zoom

Please join us for the first MS 839 PTA meeting of the 2022-2023 school year.

  • Update from prinicipal Perlberg on DOE budget cuts, its impact on MS 839, and general school updates
  • Executive board elections – There are currently open positions! If you are interested in running for a spot, please email PTA Co-President Nancy Cruz. We will also take nominees from the floor during the meeting.

The remaining 3 seats are open to all. If you are interested in standing for SLT, please email PTA Co-President Nancy Cruz. We will also take nominees from the floor during the meeting.
